Airline and other Alerts from Access America
Here’s a quick update from Access America on various labor issues, strikes or potential strikes that may impact travel. Once a potential strike is announced, if you don’t already have a travel insurance policy–you likely won’t be covered for that event. If you plan to compare and buy travel insurance, don’t wait after you book your trip and you will maximize your coverage options.
Strikes
Once a labor action such as a strike authorization has been voted on by a union, it is considered a foreseeable event. Persons who purchase Access America plans that include strike-related trip cancellation and interruption protection are covered for related losses as long as insurance was purchased before the date of the labor action.
